<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>Long-term use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) is a concern for both doctors and patients. However, in axial spondyloarthritis (axSpA), NSAIDs are used not only as a symptomatic therapy, but also to prevent the progression of the disease. Therefore, in active axSpA, NSAIDs are recommended to be administered for a much longer period of time than it is indicated in the instructions for use of the drug. The article presents two clinical cases of long-term use of etoricoxib in active axSpA. In both cases, clinical efficacy and resolution of active osteitis in the sacroiliac joints, good tolerability of treatment were noted.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>аксиальный спондилоартрит</kwd><kwd>активный сакроилиит</kwd><kwd>остеит</kwd><kwd>нестероидные противовоспалительные препараты</kwd><kwd>эторикоксиб</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>axial spondyloarthritis</kwd><kwd>active sacroiliitis</kwd><kwd>osteitis</kwd><kwd>non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs</kwd><kwd>etoricoxib</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group><funding-statement xml:lang="ru">Статья подготовлена в рамках фундаментальной научной темы «Патогенетические особенности и персонифицированная терапия анкилозирующего спондилита и псориатического артрита» №АААА-А19-119021190147-6</funding-statement><funding-statement xml:lang="en">The article was prepared within the framework of the fundamental scientific topic "Pathogenetic features and personalized therapy of ankylosing spondylitis and psoriatic arthritis" №АААА-А19-119021190147-6</funding-statement></funding-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Эрдес ШФ, Ребров АП, Дубинина ТВ и др.
