Представлен клинический случай гигантоклеточного артериита (ГКА) с офтальмологическими проявлениями (передняя ишемическая невропатия зрительного нерва), успешно леченного прямым ингибитором интерлейкина 6 олокизумабом в сочетании с глюкокортикоидами. Данное наблюдение демонстрирует эффективность раннего назначения генно-инженерных биологических препаратов для быстрого контроля воспалительной активности и предотвращения необратимой потери зрения при ГКА.

We present a clinical case of giant cell arteritis (GCA) with ophthalmic manifestations (anterior ischemic optic neuropathy) successfully treated with the direct interleukin-6 inhibitor olokizumab in combination with glucocorticoids. This case demonstrates the efficacy of early initiation of biologic drugs for rapid control of inflammatory activity and prevention of irreversible vision loss in GCA.
