Аннотация
Ревматоидный артрит (РА) – хроническое аутоиммунное заболевание, проявляющееся не только прогрессирующей деструкцией суставов, но и системным поражением внутренних органов, что приводит, несмотря на значительные успехи терапии, к снижению качества жизни больных, временной или стойкой потере трудоспособности. Представлены данные о распространенности РА и заболеваемости им в разных странах, обсуждается влияние различных факторов на эти показатели.
