She graduated from the Order of Lenin N.I. Pirogov Second State Moscow Medical Institute, specializing in general medicine, then medical residency and full-time postgraduate study at the Institute of Rheumatology, Russian Academy of Medical Sciences.
She defended the Candidate’s Dissertation “The Development of Secondary Amyloidosis in Patients with Rheumatic Diseases and Evaluation of Its Current Treatments” and the Doctoral Dissertation “Anti-Cytokine Therapy for Rheumatoid Arthritis”.
The main areas of her researches are the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and psoriatic arthritis; the biological therapy of rheumatic diseases, which she was the first to perform inRussiain 1996.
She is the principal coordinator of the Russian ARBITR Registry of Biological Agents and the representative ofRussiain the European Collaborative Registries for the evaluation of rituximab (CERERRA), tocilizumab (TOCERRA), and tofacitinib (JAK-POT). She is a member of the Rheumatology Expert Committee members AbbVie, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Lilly, MSD, Pfizer, Roche, and UCB.
She is the author of 360 publications, including 6 monographs “Basic (Pathogenetic) Therapy for Rheumatoid Arthritis” (2000), “Rheumatoid Arthritis” (2001), “Biological Therapy in Rheumatology” (2007, 2009), “Anti-B-cell Therapy in Rheumatology: Focus on Rituximab” (2012), “Biological Agents in the Treatment of Rheumatoid Arthritis” (2013) and one patent for an invention.
